Zusammenfassung:	Formaldehyde polymers and copolymers are stabilized by incorporating 0.05 to 10 percent by weight of a complex obtained in the form of a precipitate by contacting, in a solvent or solvent mixture, an antioxidant of the phenolic type which has an acidic character and polyvinyl pyrrolidone. A composition of matter comprising said formaldehyde and said stabilizer is also claimed.
