Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1,262,720. Dyeing with hydrophobic solvents. CIBA-GEIGY AG. 5 Dec., 1969 [5 Dec., 1968], No. 59609/69. Heading D1B. Textile materials made of hydrophobic polymers containing polar groups e.g. p.v.a., polyamides, polyesters and cellulose 2¢- and 3-acetate, are dyed by impregnating, padding or printing with a solution of at least one dyestuff in a mixture of an hydrophobic solvent and up to 50% by weight of a phosphorous compound containing oxygen and fixing the dye by a heat treatment at a temperature below the softening point of the material. The hydrophobic solvents used include halogenated hydrocarbons e.g. chlorobenzene carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, methylene chloride, trichlorethylene, perchlorethylene, trichlorethane and dibromoethylene and acetophenone and the phosphorous compounds containing oxygen include dialkylphosphites derivatives of phosphoric acid e.g. (C 6 H 5 O) 3 PO, (C 2 H 5 S) 3 PO, (C 6 H 5 S) 3 PO, CH 3 P (OCH 3 ) 2 and hexaalkyl-phosphoric acid amides e.g. OP[N(CH 3 ) 2 ] 3 . The dyestuffs used include water soluble acid dyes, 1:1 or 1:2 premetallized dyes optionally containing water solubilising groups, solvent dyes, disperse dyes, unreduced vat dyes and water soluble reactive dyes. A non-ionic emulsifier, carrier, thickener and dispersing agent may be present. The impregnated material may be dried before fixing at above 100‹C e.g. 170 to 240‹C using dry heat, and finally given an aqueous soap and rinse.
