Zusammenfassung: | A silicon controlled shift register capable of shifting in a forward or reverse direction and shifter circuits for controlling the register are disclosed. The shift register is made up of a plurality of identical stages. Each stage comprises an input circuit, one silicon controlled rectifier, signal storage means, signal output means, a forward signal transfer means, and a reverse signal transfer means. The register can be operated as a serial register with a single input and a single output or it can be operated in a ring fashion or a plurality of inputs and outputs can be provided. The register is particularly adaptable to machine control and to the control of industrial processes. Several different shifter circuits and a special input circuit are disclosed. The shifter circuits range from mechanical switching circuits to electro-mechanical switching circuits. |
