Moulding compositions comprise a synthetic resin and an N-alkylgluconamide which acts as a lubricant, mould lubricant and anti-static agent, and in the case of thermosetting resins as curing accelerator. In examples it is added to ABS resin, polymethyl methacrylate, PVC, polyethylene, polystyrene, polyvinylidene chloride, urea-formaldehyde precondensate, melamine - formaldehyde precondensate and phenol-formaldehyde precondensate. Conventional fillers, pigments, stabilizers, plasticizers and curing agents are also added as necessary.
