1296089 Moulding machines BANGOR PUNTA OPERATIONS Inc 13 Feb 1970 [14 Feb 1969] 7110/70 Heading B3F A foundry moulding machine has a pressure head 16 with a plurality of press feet 17 which are rammed into a flask 13 containing sand by a pneumatic piston 22 and cylinder. The flask 13 is mounted on a trolley 12 and is filled from a hopper 49. After filling, a fluid motor 33 moves the flask 13 beneath the pressure head 16. Compressed air is supplied through a duct 29 to force piston 22 and the pressure head 16 downwards so that the press feet enter the sand in the flask 13. The head 16 is raised by supplying compressed air to beneath a recocking cylinder 20. The flask is moved below the hopper 49 again and the pattern 15 stripped by raising the flask 13 by means of pneumatic cylinder (76) mounted on the trolley 12.
