A composition comprises an ethylene copolymer consisting of either a carboxylcontaining ethylene copolymer containing from 2 to 25% by weight of an α,#-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymerized therein and having a melt index of 0.01 to 50 dg/min., or an inorganic salt of said carboxyl-containing ethylene copolymer, and from 0.02 to 1.0% by weight based on the weight of the total composition of an amphipathic compound having the formula wherein R 1 is an ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbon radical having from 20 to 24 carbon atoms and R 2 is an alkyl group having from 14 to 26 carbon atoms. In the examples the compositions comprise ethylene/acrylic acid copolymer and its sodium and potassium salts, polyethylene, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and stearyl erucamide, palmityl erucamide, behenyl erucamide, oleamide, erucamide, stearamide, behenamide, oleyl palmitamide, oleyl oleamide, stearyl oleamide, palmityl oleamide, stearyl stearamide, lauryl erucamide.
