Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1,252,289. Photocopying apparatus. AGFA. GEVAERT A.G. 26 Nov., 1968 [30 Nov., 1967], No. 56036/68. Heading F4R. [Also in Division G2] In a projection copier, an original is supported by a surface 1a of a table 1 which is spaced from a microfilm camera 4 carried by a stand 2, a pillar 2a thereof supporting two parallel rows of spotlights 11-18, 21-28. The spotlights are such that the intensity of a beam emitted thereby so varies with the inclination of the light rays to the central beam that, by adjustment of the two rows of spotlights, the intensity of illumination can be increased towards the edges of an area on the surface defined by an original to compensate for edge fall off in the camera optical system in a direction perpendicular to those edges. The central beams of the lamps are so directed approximately at the edges 1b, 1c that the intensity of illumination increases towards the edges parallel to the rows of lamps. The prismatic sectioned pillar 2a carries two adjustable clamps 6, 7 to which are attached circular sectioned lamp supports (6a, 6b, 7a, 7b) (Fig. 2, not shown) on either side of the pillar. To achieve uniform density of the resultant negative in the direction perpendicular to the supports, the heights of the clamps 6, 7 are adjusted and the spotlights 11-18, 21-28 pivoted, and in the direction parallel to the supports, uniform density is achieved by adjusting the spacings of the lights.
