Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1,207,287. Baby's napkins. NATIONAL CASH REGISTER CO. 12 March, 1969 [29 March, 1968], No. 12946/69. Heading A3V. [Also in Division D2] A baby's napkin is at least partly composed of sheet-like fibrous, moisture absorbent material 2, within and/or on which minute pressure rupturable capsules 4 are distributed and retained, each capsule having a wall of polymeric material releasably containing baby oil. The oil is a colourless oil with lanolin, and may also contain perfumes, deoderants, silicone oils and disinfectants, while the capsules are preferably of gelatin-gum arabic material easily ruptured in use of the napkin. The obsorbent layer 2 of the napkin may be made of porous paper or other cellulosic fibre, or of other fibrous material, and the capsules, which may be distributed singly or in clusters, preferably form 20-45% of the total weight of the napkin. The capsules may be bonded to the material by a flexible binder 6 such as polyvinylchloride or polyethylene. Further embodiments, Figs. 2, 3, 5, 6 (not shown), have the capsules wholly within the absorbent layer 2, thereby avoiding chaffing by broken capsules. Methods of distributing capsules within and on the absorbent material are described, and specific examples given of capsule and cluster sizes, and capsule wall thickness. A suitable baby oil formulation and alternative capsule materials are also given.
