One-piece moulded electrically insulating connector housings 4, 2 are provided with contact-receiving apertures 12, 121 containing sockets 14 or plugs 141 crimped to the ends of wires 16. A latching arm 48 is formed on opposite sides of housing 2 and on mating with housing 4 hooks 52 formed at the ends of these arms engage with shoulders (25, Fig. 3, not shown) formed by grooves (23) in latching arms 22 of housing 4, these arms being hinged at 19. Means 24, 241, provided on both housings for mounting the housings in panel apertures, comprise legs 26, 28, 30; 261, 281, 301 joined by bridging members 32, 321, shoulders 34, 341 being formed between the legs and the bridging members, and the panel aperture is slightly narrower than the distance between the bridging members 32.
