Zusammenfassung: | 1,188,472. Centrifugal separator. HERAEUS-CHRIST G.m.b.H. 14 May, 1968 [17 May, 1967], No. 22933/68. Heading B2P. [Also in Division G2] An analytically operated ultra centrifuge has an optical system including a light source, for example a mercury lamp, and recording and/ or observing means whereby rays pass paraxially through a window 31 into a vacuum chamber 3 containing a preparation cell 6 and balance cell 7 and are reflected by two mirrors' 32 on the base of the vacuum chamber through an angle of 180 and emerge as an outlet beam 33 from a window 34. It then passes through an image forming optical system consisting of a lens 35, a schlieren diaphragm 36 and a cylindrical lens element 37. In the embodiment shown the observing device is a mirror reflector camera with an image plane 38. The beam producing and image forming systems are encased in a single housing 19 made pivotable upwards and downwards by a parallelogram linkage 16 contained in oval boxes 15. The housing is supported on a girder 10 by two bearings 9, the girder being secured to the base frame 11 of the centrifuge. |
