The upper half of a rear opening in a van is closed by an upper panel 1 hinged at 8 to the headboard 7 and the lower half is closed by a panel 2 which passes from guides 4 secured to the van body into guides 6 fixed to the back of the upper panel 1 during the initial opening of the door and before the two panels are pivoted upwardly about the hinge 8. Pivoted stays 17 attached at 15 to the panel 1 are connected to slides 22 slidable in fixed channels 23. Springs 11 and 24 may effect or assist movement of the panel 2 and the slides 22 respectively.
