Zusammenfassung:1,195,956. Laminating by adhesive. GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO. 13 Aug., 1968 [18 Sept., 1967], No. 38610/68.- Heading B5N. [Also in'Division C3] Sheet materials may be laminated using hot melt adhesive compositions comprising at least one thermoplastic polymer and a synthetic hydrocarbon resin having a softening point of 80‹ to 110‹ C. and comprising 40 to 80 weight per cent of 1,3-pentadiene units and 20 to 60 weight per cent. of 2-methylbutene-2 units. Specified sheet materials are metal foils, paper, coated and waxed papers, cardboard and polyolefin films. The thermoplastic polymer may be polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene or a copolymer of ethylene with propylene, vinyl acetate or an alkyl acrylate. In an example laminates are prepared by melt coating aluminium foils and paperboards with composition comprising polyethylene and synthetic hydrocarbon resin and adhering to the molten adhesive a further aluminium foil or paperboard respectively.
