In a contact-breaker assembly for ignition in I.C. engines a blade spring 15 which urges the cam-follower associated with the movable contact into engagement with the cam, and which also acts as electrical connection to the movable contact, has its fixed end extended and bent back on itself to form a spring clip for reception of a blade connector 19 on the end of a lead 21. To improve radio interference suppression the input lead 29 is taken directly to the capacitor 18 and a further lead 21 is taken from the capacitor to the movable contact spring 15. A special V-shaped connector 22 of springy material interconnects leads 29 and 21 and has suitable apertures (26, 28, Fig. 5, not shown), whereby it can be readily fitted in an annular groove (32, Fig. 4, not shown) in the terminal post (31) of the capacitor 18.
