Zusammenfassung: | 1,205,370. Photo-copying apparatus. INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORP. July 11, 1969 [Aug.6, 1968], No.34977/69. Headings G2A and G2H. A photo-copying device comprises a fixed document support 40; an image recording surface 56 (as shown, a photo-sensitive drum, but it may be a moving photo-sensitive plate or a moving photographic film); two projection systems, namely mirrors 42, 52 and mirrors 44, 50, each operable to scan the support 40 and provide an image thereof at the surface 56 via a lens 46, the scans of each system being alternately from the solid line position to the dotted line position and back again in such a way that the mirrors 42, 44 both move inwards or outwards together, and a semi-circular pivoted shutter 58 for selecting the scan to be passed to the surface 56 alternately from each system, in such a way that the scans from right to left of each system are always passed to the surface 56. Light shields 54, 68 form a narrow slit like opening along the length of the surface 56, the width of the slit being small enough to focus only a small part of a document on support 40 on the surface 56. Mirrors 50, 52 remain stationary. In another embodiment Fig.3 (not shown), the scanning projection systems comprise moving lenses (72, 74) and pairs of stationary mirrors (76, 82 and 78, 80). The document support need not be a flat surface, in which case modifications are made to the optical paths of the projection systems. |
