Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1,179,509. Silylamines; siloxanes. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. 5 Dec., 1967 [20 Dec., 1966], No.55232/67. Headings C3S and C3T. The invention comprises organosilylamines and their higher molecular weight reaction products with silanol-containing materials, the silylamines having the general formula where Y is -NZZ1 or a heterocyclic amino radical, Z being alkyl and Z1 hydrogen or alkyl, R is a monovalent hydrocarbon or halohydrocarbon radical and R1 is a divalent hydrocarbon radical which may be interrupted by hetero elements. In particular, R1 is alkylene, arylene, alkylenearylene alkylene, alkyleneoxy-arylene or -alkylene, aryleneoxyarylene or R11TR11 where R11 is alkylene or arylene and T is -C(R111 )2 -, -S(O)-, -SO 2 or -Si(R111) 2 -, where R111 is hydrogen or one of R. They are prepared by reacting the appropriate primary or secondary amine with the corresponding bis- (halosilyl) compound. Suitable amines are dimethyl, diethyl, isopropyl, n-butyl and methylethyl amines, piperidine, pyrrolidine and morpholine. The groups R and R1 may be aliphatic, saturated or unsaturated, or aromatic. The higher molecular weight products are obtained by reacting (1) the above silylamines, or mixtures thereof with a monofunctional silylamine R 3 SiY, with (2) a silanol or siloxanol of the formula or mixture thereof with a monofunctional silylamine or silanol-terminated polysiloxane, where Q is R or a cyanoalkyl radical. The products consist of combined Q 2 SiO units and (R 2 )SiR1- Si(R 2 )O units. They may be vulcanized at room temperature by adding silica filler together with ethylpolysilicate and a metal soap catalyst. Or the gums may be mixed with fumed silica or titania and a peroxy catalyst in the usual way for elastomers. Specification 1,089,227 is referred to.
