An open frame leg 20 for supporting a marine structure on a marine bottom has at its lower end a foot comprising a footplate 23 provided with a downward extension 24, the footplate 23 having an upper surface which is raised in the centre. The upper surface of the footplate may be conical or curved. The footplate and extensions may be made of reinforced concrete or of metal.
