The cushion space 1 of an air cushion vehicle is enclosed laterally by a flexible bellows 3 secured to a base platform 2 and formed at its lower end with a peripheral shoe 9 and an attachment 10 for an annular flexible damping member 6, the space between the member 6 and bellows 3 being vented at 12 and air for the cushion being supplied at 13. The member 6 may be positioned between two coaxial bellows or instead of a single annular damping member, there may be a plurality of circumferentially spaced members.
