Zusammenfassung: | 1,106,360. Leno shedding mechanism; weaving pile fabrics. RIEGEL TEXTILE CORPORATION. 19 Dec., 1966 [15 Sept., 1966], No. 56813/66. Heading D1E. Leno selvedges are woven in superposed fabrics by means of long and short needles 44, 50 &c. having their warp eyes at two levels corresponding to the shed lines of the two fabrics. The needles are mounted in frames 20, 20', of which the frame 20' is lifted and lowered at every shed change by a cam 83, and the frame 20 is shogged to the right for one pick and to the left for the next by a cam 70. Weaving pile fabric. The two fabrics may be cut pile fabrics woven face-to-face. Alternatively, the bottom fabric may be the base of a long-loop pile fabric, the upper fabric having warp threads at the selvedges only; the weft picks be on warpwise pile wires and are provided to support the pile warp threads which are woven over them. After weaving, the upper weft threads are cut at some point between the selvedges and the strips of fabric constituting the selvedges are drawn apart, thereby pulling the cut weft threads out of the pile loops. |
