Zusammenfassung:1,128,342. Continuous casting-machines. URALSKY ZAVOD TYAZHELOGO MASHINOSTROENIA IMENI S. ORDZHONIKIDZE. 18 Jan., 1967 [15 March, 1966], No. 2677/67. Heading B3F. [Also in Division C3] The working walls of a continuous casting mould are degreased, e.g. by acetone or ethyl alcohol, and then coated with a lubricant coating composed of a polymer base, e.g. an epoxy resin, with the addition of molybdenum disulphide. The lubricant coating is prepared by adding and mixing 15 to 30 parts by weight of dibutyl phthalate into 80 to 150 parts of heated epoxy resin to which is further added 50 to 100 parts of molybdenum disulphide and 15 to 30 parts of polyethylene-polyamine. The mixture is then dissolved in a nitric solvent until it is suitable for applying to the walls of the mould. After application the drying period is not less than one day. After completing two or three castings the walls are washed with kerosene, dried and the lubricant coating is applied again.
