Zusammenfassung: | 1,183,607. Dye inhibition materials. EASTMAN KODAK CO. May 9, 1967 [May 10, 1966], No.21483/67. Heading G2C. A dye inhibition blank comprises a support bearing a hydrophilic colloid layer containing a basic mordant and, at least at the surface, a water soluble salt of an alkyl, substituted alkyl or aryl polyalkylene oxide ether containing an acid substituent. Preferred salts have the formula R-(B) m -(O-CH 2 CH 2 ) n -O-CH 2 -CH 2 -X wherein R is H, optionally substituted G 1-30 alkyl or alkoxy, B is arylene, m is 0 or 1, R being optionally substituted alkyl when m is 0, n is 1-100, and X is alkali metal-, ammonium-, or triethanolamine-sulphate, sulphonate or carboxylate group. The blank may be prepared by applying a colloid containing the mordant to the support and applying a soln. of the salt to the coating which soln. may also contain a colloid and have a pH of 4À0-5À0. |
