Zusammenfassung: | 1,211,902. Reciprocating pumps. BENDIX CORP. March 8, 1968 [March 9, 1967], No.11537/68. Heading F1A. [Also in Division H2] An electromagnetically-driven piston pump has a piston 50 of the bucket type arranged within a sleeve 48 extending between an inlet fitting 30 and an outlet fitting 40. The coil 80 of the electromagnet is contained within a chamber formed by two interfitting U-shaped members 10, 12, and is periodically energized to cause the piston to move downwardly against the action of a return spring 66 to thereby effect transference of fluid through a non-return valve 58 in the piston. The valve 58 is guided by a projecting spider 60 and is retained by a transverse pin 62. Electrical control elements can be housed in a space 84. After unscrewing of the fitting 30 the mechanical parts of the pump can be withdrawn for service and/or replacement. Thereafter, access to the electrical parts can be gained by removal of the fitting 40 and separation of the members 10 and 12. |
