In a jack strip having an insulating support ing structure with a portion 1 which has hole - 2 for jack plugs and a portion 3 which is grooved to receive contact springs 12, the springs have deep notches 6 which correspond to projections in the grooves. Lugs 7 and 8 on the springs pass through holes in the portion 3 and are bent over.
