Zusammenfassung: | 1,103,589. Tyre-building machines. B. F. GOODRICH CO. 16 Aug., 1965 [19 Aug., 1964], No. 35015/65. Heading B7C. A pocketed pneumatic tyre carcass 36 mounted on discs 8, 9 is shaped by introducing pressure air through conduit 34 and simultaneously advancing the discs axially towards one another while rotating them. A breaker 38 and tread are then applied by a carrier 37 and stitched by rotatable wheels (50, 53) (Figs. 2-4, not shown). Engagement of a clutch 29 with plate 31 or 32 respectively causes (a) sleeves 6, 7, to which discs 8 and 9 are fixed, to be rotated and advanced towards one another while oppositely screw-threaded shafts 4, 5 are held stationary; and (b) the shafts and sleeves to be locked together for simultaneous rotation upon actuation of motor 11. Carrier 37 may be omitted and the tread and breaker hung from a projection 371 for manual application. |
