Zusammenfassung: | 1,108,624. Break-spinning apparatus. VYZKUMNY USTAV BAVLNARSKY. 22 March. 1966 [7 Dec., 1965], No. 12515/66. Heading D1D. In break spinning to prevent breakages or the formation of slubs arising from an accumulation of fibres on the edge 9 of the knife 10 which removes the comed-out fibres from the combing-roller 3, a duct 11 is previded for supplying air under pressure to the edge. The combing-roller rotates in a body 1 and fibrous material is supplied to it through a duct 18 by a roller 2. The fibres are separated by needles on the roller and are conveyed to the spinning-chamber along a duct 5 through which air is drawn as the chamber rotates. The fibres are detached from the cylinder by the edge of a knife formed by the intersection of the duct 5 with the hollow space in which the roller rotates. To prevent the accumulation on the knife-edge of fibres which give rise to slubs or untwisted, weak. places in the yarn, the channel 11 conducts air under pressure arising from the rotation of the chamber, to a point below the knifeedge. The air is conducted from the spinning chamber through a diffuser and a device 20 by which the pressure is controlled. The speed of air in channel 11 is less than that in duct 5 which in turn is less than the surface speed of roller 3. |
