Zusammenfassung: | A nickel plating bath which includes nickel chloride is applied using D.C. and superimposed A.C. of frequency not exceeding 20 cycles, and the ratio of currents A. C./D. C. is at least 4 to 1. Preferably a pure nickel anode is used as an auxiliary anode, when an enclosing filter bag is not used. Other normal anodes with filter bags are present. For example a recessed article 11 is mounted on a bracket 12 on which a pure nickel anode 13 is mounted with an intervening insulator 10. The anode is corrected to a D.C. source 16 and an A.C. supply 15, an ammeter 18, and oscilloscope 19 to measure the A.C. The other anodes are connected to D.C. only. A Watts bath may be used. A top coat of chromium may be applied. |
