An electric instrument carried in a shoulder belt 2 has a manual 4, mounted on a chassis, which is .housed inside a tube 1 provided with a longitudinal opening through which the manual is reached. The manual chassis, Fig. 8 (not shown), comprises a number of parallel rails between two cross-pieces which are screwed to the tube. A tone selector having push-button switches 7 and mounted on a chassis having two angle sheets between two cross-pieces, Fig. 7 (not shown), may be similarly housed in another part of the tube so that it can be operated by the hand not playing the manual. A printed circuit board for the electric couplings may be housed near the tone selector, Fig. 4 (not shown), which may incorporate volume and tuning controls.
