Zusammenfassung:	An interpolymer of ethylene and vinyloxyethanol which may also contain a small amount of another monomer (e.g. vinyl acetate), said interpolymer having a molecular weight of less than 5,000, may be prepared by polymerization at a pressure below 10,000 psi. in the presence of oxygen or a free-radical initiating catalyst, e.g. ditertiarybutyl peroxide. The products are oils, greases or waxes and find application as lubricants, functional fluids and leather softeners.
