Zusammenfassung:1,077,651. Builder motion. ZINSER TEXTILMASCHINEN G.m.b.H. Aug. 4, 1964 [July 19, 1963], No. 30537/64. Heading DID. In a speed frame builder motion the reversing of each lay is effected according to a template. In Fig. 5 the template is formed by arms 23, 24 which are carried on a carriage 26 and alternately engaged by a feeler 18 which reciprocates with the bobbin rail 14. As rail 14 approaches the end of a lay the feeler 18 engages the arm 23 or 24 and thus shifts the carriage 26 so that a cam 27 or 28 closes a switch 29 or 30; the closing of either switch causes, by means of a gear box 17, the drive to the bobbin rail rack 16 to be reversed; a step by step mechanism 34 is also actuated to turn a spindle 19 through a fixed angle and move the feeler 18 at right angles to the direction of traverse of the bobbin rail, via a threaded portion 20 on the spindle 19 so that the gradual shortening of the lay is effected. In addition spindle 19 adjusts a variable speed gear 10 to adjust the spindle drive. In Fig. 7 not shown the carriage (26) is split into two portions; in Fig. 8 not shown two feelers are provided on the carriage (26) while feeler 18 is replaced by a template moving with the spindle rail; in Fig. 9 not shown a single feeler is provided on carriage (26) which is alternately engaged by the opposite sides of an internal cam moving with the spindle rail. In other forms the arms 23, 24 are replaced by rods whose inclination and spacing may be adjusted; the rods may be curved. In a further form the arms 23, 24 are replaced by flexible bands of synthetic material or metal which have multiple mounting points so that their contours may be adjusted. To adjust the length of the bobbin the transmission of motion between spindle rail 14 and feeler 18 may be other than 1:1, or the opposed arms 23, 24 may be relatively moveable or the feeler 18 may be arranged to have an adjustable length.
