Zusammenfassung: | 1,039,146. Clarifier tanks. EIMCO CORPORATION. Sept. 25,1964 [Sept. 25, 1963], No. 39141/64. Heading B1D. Turbid liquid is fed into a clarifier tank 1 through hollow rotating arms 23 which have discharging ports 28 at their outer ends which are adjacent the tank wall and at mid depth of the tank well above the settled sludge, so avoiding agitation of the sludge and preventing the formation of positive flow currents. The liquid is introduced through conduit 13 into a tube 18 from where it passes out through ports 29 into the annular space between the tube 18 and a drive column 22 and from there into the arms 23. On each arm a conduit 27 is mounted transversely and directs the parts 28 so that they are substantially parallel with the tank bottom and also with the tank wall, and so that the two parts of any one arm have oppositely facing openings. Sludge is collected in sump 14 after having been raked towards the centre of the tank by blades 24 on the arms. Clarified liquid overflows into a trough 16 supported by a bridge 17 connected to the tube 18 and is removed through conduit 19. |
