Zusammenfassung: | A method of making reusable a waste thermoplastic synthetic resin material which passes a 6 Tyler mesh wire gauge but not at 10 Tyler mesh gauge and which has an angle of rest of over 70 degrees comprises heating and deforming the waste material under agitation until said waste material reaches a temperature above its deformation temperature but below its melting point and thereafter cooling and recovering the treated waste material. The method may be applied to vinyl chloride polymers, polyethylene and polypropylene, e.g. in the form of waste oriented film, pipes or mouldings. In examples the method is applied to (1) crushed rigid polyvinyl chloride film, pipe and blocks; (2) crushed rigid polyvinyl chloride film; (3), (5) and (7) mixtures of polyvinyl chloride and scrap ployvinyl chloride organotin stabilizer and lubricant, together with (4) dioctyl phthalate; and (6) oriented polypropylene film waste. |
