Zusammenfassung: | 1,067,283. Change-speed control; detent brakes. DEERE & CO. Jan. 7, 1965 [Jan. 17 1964], No. 739/65. Headings F2D and F2E. A control for a multi-speed forward-reverse transmission, comprises a member 458, Figs. 1, 3, rockable on a shaft 454 and carrying a lever 456 on a pin 460 whereby the member 458 and lever 456 can rock together on shaft 454 and lever 456 can rock relative to member 458. The arcuate lower end 474 of lever 456 engages a slot 476 in a lever 478 which is movable parallel to shaft 454 to pivot bell-crank 486 and move link 496 connected to an arm 392, Fig. 1, fixed to a shaft 382; rotation of shaft 382 moves an arm 386 and, through rod 390, the spool 196 of a direction valve DSV between forward-neutral-reverse. The member 458 is integral with an arm 466 connected by link 470 to an arm 400 on a shaft 384 whereby on rotation of lever 456 and member 458, a lever 394 and hence the spool 302 of a speed-selection valve SSV are moved through positions P-8. A cam 402 on arm 386 and a projection 404 on lever 394 co-operate to prevent lever 394 moving past position 4 when the arm is in the reverse position R. To control a park lock, an extension 522 of an arm 520 loosely mounted on shaft 454, is engaged by an extension 524 of member 458 and rocked counterclockwise; a further arm 528 loose on shaft 454 is connected by linkage 532 to the park lock arm 422 and is connected to arm 520 by a spring 534 whereby a force is exerted via a cam 418, Fig. 6, not shown, and follower 424 on pawl 414 to overcome spring 416 and thus engage pawl 414 with output shaft gear 146. The cam 418 is positively rotated in the reverse direction on movement of lever 456 from the parking position, Fig. 7, not shown, by a step 544 on lever 456, Fig. 4, engaging and rotating a lug 542 on a sleeve 540, Fig. 3, fixed to arm 520, the extension 522 of arm 520 engaging an extension 538 of arm 528 to rotate it and hence cam 418. The step 544 on lever 456 is moved away from lug 542 when the lever is rotated relative to member 458 for movement into forward and reverse speeds. Should lever 394, Fig. 9, be moved to the park position P whilst lever 386 is in the reverse position R then projection 404 engages valve spool 196 to move it to neutral. |
