Zusammenfassung: | Acrylic monomers of the formula in which Y is a hydrogen atom or methyl radical, X is hydrogen, an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, , , , , , , -R1-Z, -R1-OH, -R1-CN, -R1-SH, -R1-OH, -R1-SR, -R1-NHR, -R1-NRR, R1 being an alkylene group with 2 to 4 carbon atoms, Z is a halogen atom, R is an alkyl group with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, are stabilized by 5 to 5000 p.p.m. of at least one acyclic or alicyclic hydrocarbon containing 7 to 12 carbon atoms and having at least 3 conjugated double bonds. The hydrocarbon may contain minor amounts of other hydrocarbons or other inert compounds. The stabilizer is effective against "popcorn polymerization" during distillation.
