Process for the preparation of tanning resins
Tanning resins are produced by condensing in a single stage reaction 0,4 to 0,65 mole of an aminotriazine, 0,35 to 0,60 mole of dicyandiamide and 2,5 to 4,5 mole of an aldehyde, adding before, during or after the condensation 0,2 to 0,4 mole of an alkali metal salt of an aromatic sulphonic acid and...

Zusammenfassung: | Tanning resins are produced by condensing in a single stage reaction 0,4 to 0,65 mole of an aminotriazine, 0,35 to 0,60 mole of dicyandiamide and 2,5 to 4,5 mole of an aldehyde, adding before, during or after the condensation 0,2 to 0,4 mole of an alkali metal salt of an aromatic sulphonic acid and drying the product. Other aminoplast-forming substances such as urea or cyanamide may be used in addition to or as a partial replacement of the melamine and/or dicyandiamide. Aminotriazines specified are melamine, the alkylmelamines, the alkylolmelamines, melam, melem, melon, ammelide and ammeline. Aromatic sulphonic acids specified include benzene-sulphonic acids, phenolsulphonic acids, naphthalene sulphonic acids, sulphonated phenol-formaldehyde condensates, sulphonated dihydroxydiphenylmethane, sulphonated dihydroxydiphenylpropane sulphonated dihydroxy diphenylsulphone, dinaphthylmethanedisulphonic acid and naphtholsulphonic acids. |
