Zusammenfassung:997,430. Valves. BABCOCK & WILCOX CO. May 10, 1962 [May 10, 19611, No. 18032/62. Heading F2V. A hot gas stream, containing carbon monoxide, from a catalyst regenerative kiln is valved via an inlet 10 either through the vertically disposed outlet duct 17 of a closed tank 15A to a furnace or through the outlet duct 18 of a closed tank 16A to a stack. The outlets 17 and 18 may be valved at their serrated bottom ends 22 and 23 by liquid admitted through inlet valves 33 and 35A respectively, and which may be discharged via outlet valves 33A and 37A. When in sealing operation the level in the valves is maintained to compensate for evaporation by a continuous flow of water through inlet valves 41 or 43 and replenishment to avoid corrosive concentrations by overflow through outlets 44, 47, 60 and 52, 54, 56 to a common liquid seal 60 which, with valve 15A closed and 16A open, directs entrained gases from 15A to 16A. Gauge glasses 49 and 59 are connectively mounted at upper and lower points to pipes 47 and 54 to indicate the liquid level in the tanks 15A and 16A. Specification 769,178 is referred to.
