Zusammenfassung:875,498. Electric-selective signalling systems. DATEX CORPORATION. Jan. 26, 1960 [April 13, 1959], No. 2812/60. Class 40 (1). An apparatus comprises a source of binary coded signals, circuit means coupled to be responsive to these signals and switchable between a follow mode for continuously transmitting the signals and a storage mode for storing a preselected signal from the source, and control means for effecting the said switching. A rotating disc 16, Fig. 1, is conventionally sensed by brushes 18 and the output passed through a circuit 20 and a decimal converter 22 to a visual following element 24. Means 26 provided for print out operations are actuated by a command device 30 which changes over a switch 28 and biases the circuit 20 to store the present input and to be unresponsive to any subsequent inputs. The command device 30, Fig. 2, is a bi-stable circuit designed to supply a negative potential on bus 32 and ground on bus 34 and vice versa to switch each of the circuits A-D (one for each brush) to the " follow " or " store mode " respectively. In the " follow " mode diode circuit 92, 100, 96, 102 is biased so that when brush 18A is on a non- conducting segment transistor 74 conducts and relay 80 is not energized, and when brush 18A is on a conducting segment transistor 76 conducts and relay 80 is energized. Thus the state of energization of relay 18 depends upon the input track A. In the " store " mode, whichever transistor is conducting upon the application of the bias voltage is maintained conducting, andthus the relay winding 18 is maintained either energized or not energized.
