| Zusammenfassung: | A colourless lubricant for gas compressors comprises a turbid suspension of 0.01% to 5% by weight of a hard wax (as defined in the Specification) containing polar groups, e.g. ester, amide or free acid groups, in a colourless lubricating oil, preferably paraffinum liquidum. The wax is montan wax, montan wax acid, montan wax esterified with an alcohol, e.g. ethylene glycol or butylene glycol, or a mixture of a montan wax acid and an ester of a higher alcohol. Calcium salts of montan wax acid may be added to the hard wax in amounts of 10, 20 or 30% by weight. |
