Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:The invention comprises compounds of the formula wherein Q is hydrogen or chlorine or an alkyl or alkoxy radical of 1 to 4 carbon atoms Z is methyl or ethyl, M is an alkali metal and n is an integer of 1 to 3, and a process for making them by diazotizing an amine of the formula and coupling with a compound of the formula The compounds may be converted into dyes of the formula wherein Q, Z, M and n are as above, X is chlorine or bromine and Y is alkoxy, alkylthio, primary amino, mono- or dialkylamino, mono- or di-alkanolamino, arylamino or N-alkyl-arylamino or an arylamino or N-alkyl-arylamino radical bearing a water-solubilizing group or groups, the alkyl and alkenol groups having 1 to 4 carbon atoms and the aryl groups having up to 10 carbon atoms in their cyclic structure. The conversion is effected by reacting a cyanuric halide in either order with a compound which will form the group Y and an amino-azo compound of the formula XI above. Examples are given. The dyes dye textile fibres, paper, leather and plastic film containing -OH, -ONa or -NH2 groups in conjunction with a treatment with an acid-binding agent in yellow shades. Specification 427,241 also is referred to.
