Zusammenfassung:872,341. Spring assemblies. BENJAMIN, C. M. March 31, 1960 [April 8, 1959; May 8, 1959; June 30, 1959], Nos. 11881/59, 15910/59 and 22460/59. Class 52(4). A "spring edge" assembly is formed by a plurality of inclined spring elements 1 held at one end by a bar 3 and at the other end by a wire 4 to which are attached a plurality of elastic webs 9 and either elastic or non-elastic webs 11. The assembly may be used at the front of a seat (Fig. 1) or to form the side of a divan frame (Fig. 4) or may form the top edge also of a chair back (Fig. 6). The bar 3 may be channel-shaped or may have lugs to engage the ends of the spring elements 1 which may be V-shaped as in Fig. 9. The elements 1 may be connected by T-shaped clips instead of the bar 4 and the webbing may have claws to be hooked on to the spring elements.
