Zusammenfassung:The invention comprises antidiazotates of the general formula or (wherein X and Y each represent an alkyl or alkoxy group or a halogen atom), and the manufacture thereof by diazotizing an amine of the general formula or (wherein "acyl" represents the residue of an aliphatic or aromatic carboxylic or sulphonic acid), converting the diazonium compound by means of a caustic alkali solution in the cold into its syndiazotate, and heating this with a concentrated caustic alkali solution to effect transposition into the antidiazotate with simultaneous hydrolysis of the acylamino group. Examples describe the preparation of potassium antidiazotates starting from (1) 1-acetylamino-4-amino-2 : 6-dichlorobenzene and (2) 1-acetylamino - 4 - amino - 2 : 6 - dibromobenzene, and of sodium antidiazotates starting from (3) 1 - propionylamino - 4 - amino - 2 : 5 - dichlorobenzene and (4) 1-acetylamino-4-amino-2 : 5-dibromobenzene. Additional starting materials specified are: 1-benzenesulphonylamino-, 1-(41-chlorobenzoylamino)- or 1-butanesulphonyl - amino - 4 - amino - 2 : 6 - dichlorobenzene, 1 - benzoylamino or 1-p-toluenesulphonylamino-4-amino - 2 : 5 - dichlorobenzene, 1 - butyrylamino - 4 - amino - 2 - chloro - 5 - methoxybenzene, 1 - acetylamino - or 1 - (31 - sulpho - 11 - benzoylamino) - 4 - amino - 2 - chloro - 6 - methylbenzene, and 1 - acetylamino - 4 - amino-3 - chloro - 6 - methoxybenzene.
