Zusammenfassung:	1 - Carbethoxy - 3 - methyl - 6 - bromoanthrapyridone is prepared by heating together 1-methylamino-4-bromoanthraquinone, acid-free ethyl malonate, and sodium acetate.ALSO:1 - Carbethoxy - 3 - methyl - 6 - (41 - chloranilino)-anthrapyridone is prepared by heating together 1 - carbethoxy - 3 - methyl - 4 - bromo-anthrapyridine, p-chloroaniline, sodium acetate, and copper acetate. 1 - Carbethoxy - 3 - methyl - 6 - (41 - chloro - 21 - sulphoanilino)-anthrapyridine (ammonium salt) is prepared by treating 1-carbethoxy-3-methyl-6 - (41 - chloranilino) - anthrapyridone with sulphuric acid and oleum, allowing to stand, pouring into cold water, and neutralizing with ammonium hydroxide.
