Zusammenfassung: | 675,190. Cathode-ray tubes. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL, Ltd. Nov. 8, 1948 [Nov. 4, 1947], No. 28988/48. Class 39 (i). A cathode-ray pulse generator is provided with a helical anode 31 of single turn having a pitch equal to the distance travelled by the electrons in the beam in pencil form during one whole period of the external oscillations applied to the deflecting plates 4, 5, 6, 7. The oscillations which are of the same frequency but are in quadrature are applied to the two sets of plates from terminals pairs 18, 19, the beam thereby being rotated to form a cone. With the direction of rotation of the beam as shown, all the electrons emitted in a cycle of oscillations strike the anode simultaneously, the load being connected between the anode and a grid 32 of similar shape. An equipotential grid 35 may be provided also The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also an embodiment for a flat beam in which the anode is a plate shaped as a half-cosine curve. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
