[Class 94 (ii)] A valve bag 1 provided with a valve-sealing means comprising a tube of paper or the like 3 extending into the bag beyond the valve 2 and which is bent back on itself inside the bag to form the seal, the top wall of the tube 3 being provided with a bendable stiffening insert of metal, 4, is characterised in that the insert consists of a metal wire bent forth and back to form a few stems interconnected by bends and is applied so that the stems run substantially in the longitudinal direction of the tube 3.
