[Class 37] Copper blanks intended for the production of elements for copper-oxide rectifiers are heated at oxidizing temperature for a period of time not exceeding eight minutes, cooled to a lower temperature about 1050‹ F., maintained at this temperature for a period of the order of two hours and subsequently quenched. The elements may thereafter be baked at a temperature of about 212‹ F. for 16-72 hours.
