Zusammenfassung: | 425,247. Batteries. NATIONAL CARBON CO., Inc., 30, East 42nd Street, New York, U.S.A. Nov. 2, 1933, No. 30500. Convention date, Nov. 10, 1932. [Class 53] A dry cell is provided with a baffle 20 to prevent the electrolyte from coming into contact with the metal cover 17. The cover is clamped at 25 on the baffle and the container 10 and rests on a washer 15 supported by a flange 16 on the metal cap 14. The baffle forms with the container a space 26 into which electrolyte can flow when the cell is tilted. The cover 17 may be made of iron, and the baffle may be made of the same material as the container 10, for example zinc, and thus form a part of the positive electrode, or it may be made of iron, fibre or pulp board. |
