Zusammenfassung:Methods, systems, and apparatuses are provided for handling Random Access (RA) in Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) in a wireless communication system, with a method of a User Equipment (UE) comprising initiating a RA procedure in a first cell, determining, in response to initiating the RA procedure, whether second type RA resources are available, and during the RA procedure, in response to determining that Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) status of the UE is not qualified: the second type RA resources are selected for the RA procedure if the second type RA resources are available, or cell selection or reselection is performed if the second type RA resources are not available.
