Zusammenfassung:	The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A PIRates (personal internet of things (IoT) network and residential network) management server (PMS) in a personal IoT network (PIN) is provided. The PIM includes at least one processor configured to support management capabilities of a PIRates network; and at least one interface supporting interaction between the PMS, a PIRates gateway configured to provide gateway functionality within the PIRates network, and at least one PIN element configured with PIRates clients which communicate within the PIRates network.
