Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a printing machine for printing a material. The printing machine comprises a conveyor belt, an optical sensor and an evaluation unit. The conveyor belt is movable in a feed direction along a feed path. The conveyor belt comprises a plurality of portions along the feed direction over the feed path. The optical sensor is arranged to detect at least one image of each portion of the plurality of portions of the conveyor belt sequentially. The evaluation unit is arranged to identify or determine a position of the conveyor belt on the basis of the images of the plurality of portions of the conveyor belt.
