Zusammenfassung:	Methods and apparatus are provided. In an example aspect, a method of correcting one or more errors in a received word is provided. The received word includes one or more symbol labels. The method includes modifying a first symbol label in the received word to a first alternative symbol label corresponding to a symbol in a symbol constellation that is one of a closest one or more symbols to a symbol corresponding to the first symbol label to form a first modified word, and determining whether the first modified word is a valid codeword.
