Zusammenfassung:	While the described biocompatible wound dressing can include any suitable component, in some cases, it includes a biocompatible interface and multiple fixation elements that are each configured to at least one of absorb and incorporate into a user's body after prolonged use in the user's body. In some cases, the interface has a first surface and a second surface that is disposed substantially opposite to the first surface, with a peripheral edge that extends around an outer perimeter of the biocompatible interface. In some cases, the fixation elements extend from the first surface of the interface, adjacent to the peripheral edge. In some cases, the fixation elements also have a hook-like shape that is configured to couple the interface to subcutaneous tissue on an undersurface of skin when the peripheral edge and the fixation elements are inserted below the subcutaneous tissue. Additional implementations are described herein.
