Zusammenfassung: | A technique disclosed herein relates to a lithium ion secondary battery. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode active material layer that contains a positive electrode active material. The positive electrode active material is a lithium-transition metal complex oxide that contains Li, Ni, and Mn, and that has a layered structure. In the lithium-transition metal complex oxide, a containing rate of the Ni with respect to metal elements other than the Li is equal to or more than 75 mol %. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode active material layer that contains a negative electrode active material. The negative electrode active material contains a carbon material and a Si containing material. In the positive electrode active material, a containing rate (mol) of a Co element and a containing rate (mol) of a Mn element satisfy a following relation: 0≤Co/Mn≤0.43. |
